Each and every year the same story... What do you do to get this many? Seriously, how badly are girls being manipulated by these confectionery companies?
King
Mind your words! Everyone put their heart into making these, having hope in this day!
Jack
While saying that, you're giving them away.
Ace
And you're eating them...
King
So, what's really eating you up. It's not like you haven't gotten anything, right?
Jack
I'm content with someone's intention alone. But I'm given some chocolates, I'm happy.
King
And what about you?
Ace
Me? Well, I'll take what I can get, but...
King
You say that, but in reality you'd be really happy.
Ace
It's not like tha....t... but... Well... Yeah.
King
But the truth is... I cannot seem to get the chocolates I want.
Notes:
- In Japan, Valentine's day is the day that girls give chocolate to guys who they like (honne-choco) or to guys they've been working with (giri-choco). One month later, on White Day, it's they guy's turn to give something back to the girl they like.
- King's final comment is that he laments that he doesn't seem to be able to get the chocolates from the girl -he- likes.
