January twenty fifth,
Day of the Chinese Buns (“Chuuka MAN no hi”)

Don't you start craving Chinese Buns on cold days like these? That's why I bought us piping hot buns! So, which do you want? The standard meat filling? Anko filling? I also have pizza filling, curry filling, sukiyaki filling and sichuan toufu filling. As desert I have ones with custard filling, chocolate filling and green tea filling! I bought too much, you say? Hehe... I just wanted to warm up together with you.

Note:
  • Chuuka man is short for "chuuka manjuu". Generally speaking, a manjuu is a steamed (and thus still warm) piece of bread with a certain type of filling, usually meat (in case of the Chinese style) or anko (red bean paste), but -as the track so kindly lists- you also have them with "pizza filling" (tomato-cheese sause), chicken curry, chocolate, or whatever the producers decide to be a fun filling. Because of these fillings you can get sweet or savoury, but normally you can't get all tastes throughout the year, but only for certain periods at a time. You can buy them at convenience stores. (Example image found here)
Though not the type discussed in this track, there is also the type of "chuuka man" that is similar to a dorayaki (two thick pancakes with filling in between them). (Example image found here)
